Terms of Service
The terms covering use of this website, and the standard commercial terms that sit behind every engagement letter we issue.
Last updated 10 September 2026
These terms
These terms govern your use of this website. Client engagements are governed by a separate written agreement — an engagement letter and statement of work — which takes precedence over anything on this page where the two differ.
Using this site
You may read, print and share the content here for your own business purposes. You may not republish it as your own, use it to train a commercial model without permission, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site.
Content accuracy
We write the content on this site carefully, including the case study figures, which come from primary sources such as Google Search Console, GA4 and client systems. It is provided for general information and is not advice for your specific situation. Results described for one client are not a prediction of results for another.
Intellectual property in client work
Everything we produce for a client under an engagement — code, prompts, workflows, design files, documentation and content — transfers to the client on delivery and payment. We retain no licence fee, no platform dependency and no right to withhold it. We reserve the right to describe the work in general terms as a case study unless the engagement letter says otherwise.
- You own all deliverables on delivery and payment.
- We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools, methods and internal templates.
- Third-party licences — fonts, stock assets, SaaS platforms — remain subject to their own terms.
Fees, scope and cancellation
Build work is quoted as a fixed total against a defined scope, with payment tied to milestones. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance, run for a stated minimum term, and then continue on a rolling basis cancellable with 30 days’ written notice. There are no exit fees. Work outside an agreed scope is quoted separately before it begins.
Warranties and support
Every build includes 30 days of post-launch support: if something we delivered breaks because of our work, we fix it at no cost. This does not cover changes to third-party platforms outside our control, changes made by others after handover, or new functionality.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability under an engagement is limited to the fees paid under that engagement in the twelve months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of anticipated savings.
Governing law
These terms and any engagement are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless an engagement letter specifies otherwise for a client in another territory.
